Community Engagement

We work with children’s services, charities, housing and health sectors to produce resources and programmes for family engagement. We offer artist-led sessions that use story, action songs, movement games and craft to engage families in creative play to tackle key areas of daily stress and child development. We also create bespoke digital, audio and print resources for early years’ practitioners, charities and children’s centres to integrate into their own programmes and services with training and support to share them with your families.

Creative Homes

From toothbrushing to healthy eating, toilet training to reducing mess and clutter, we’re here to help reduce day to day stress in the home. We offer a range of simple playful solutions which give families a helping hand towards building lasting, positive routines at home. Our group sessions, hosted on housing estates and in children’s settings, help families connect and support each other on a local level to strengthen communities and our pathways’ service helps families to access further support around them.

“We have a real optimism now for the health outcomes for the children in that family.” Mary Devlin, Manager, Crown Lane Children’s Services

“Creative Homes have done some excellent work with our residents on Church Manor estate, helping them to identify and overcome the challenges of everyday home life. Their creative approach has a big impact on reducing stress in the home, supporting family routines and connecting families to health, cultural and support services in their local area.” Phillippa Keast, Research and Innovation Lead, Viridian Housing

Playful Solutions for Campaigns & Research

Are you grappling with the challenge of refining your campaign or research strategy to effectively engage families through your charity or early years’ organisation? Do you require the right tools and creative solutions to convey your message?

Whether it's storytelling, the development of a digital resource, or simply seeking answers to questions that will help tailor your own resource, we have the expertise to guide you.

For instance, we collaborated with ERIC, UK’s leading children's bowel and bladder charity, to structure their "It's Good to Go" campaign, resulting in the co-creation of "When It's Time to Go", a book designed to support children as they start school.

We also partnered with the British Library to conduct research with children and families, aimed at making their sound library more accessible. This endeavour led to the commissioning of "Whoosh the Wind", a captivating story that carries sounds from around the world.
